I recognize that building. It is notable for several things. I assume you are more interested in what it is rather than what it contains.

" Today" it is as big as they get

but only 2/3 of its original wooden self. Butthe main item is the icon inside. Nara a complaint of the value to the Japanese

I saw something like it in Kyoto Japan in 1954. Kyoto had been the Imperial Capitol before Tokyo.

Gary wins the Golden Uni today for knowing that the building is the Great Buddha Hall in Nara, Japan. Although some of it is now gone it is still the largest building made of wood. How big? The ants in the picture are people going into the building.
