What wooden creations are guaranteed not to be more than 2 3/4" wide and 42" long?

Used at home, and tossed aside after use, then picked up to be used again.

Toothpicks!

The one I buy have excellent quality control. Never once have I seen one exceed those dimensions.

However, I'm not sure I would re-use them like Alex. ;-)

Yardsticks!

For sure less than 42" long. All I've seen are about 1" wide. Can be reused.

Answer!

Anyone who has followed my questions for long enough should know that typically around the time of opening day I usually "throw out" a baseball related question. Thus was the case today and Alex was the first to cross home plate with the correct answer of baseball bats. Ken scored late on a sacrifice fly.
