Snowy Humpday Triviola
As usual, the weatherman was wrong. Our expected 1" of snow turned into 6-7". And as usual, the drive to work was full of maniac drivers. But I'm here...safe and sound and ready for triviola....
In 1854 a traveling salesman asked a guy to invent something that eventually became a rural life necessity for many. It was originally made of wood, however wood did not last long as the chosen material to make these. What are they?

I had guessed wooden hand pumps which also started out as wood and became cast iron.
