Is a tree a "mature" or "big" tree and you count seedlings? (If so, how? There are probably 10,000 sprouting acorns along the boundary road on my property alone. All will be mowed in the spring.)

If the population

of the U.S. is 305 million (China has 1 BILLION more over that of the U.S.--no wonder all the wood is going to Asia) I'm thinking that if people planted three (one to grow to maturity, one will die, one will get diseased and cut early) for each person I'd be pretty close. I'm thinking 900-950 million.) I wonder how many, whatever the number is, does anyone let get to say a 70 year old maturity?

World has 7 billion + people. By my earlier logic 21 billion trees.

This number based on current estimates of the world population (about 6 and a half billion people) and an estimate for the number of trees derived from NASA satellite imagery (over 400 billion trees).
