Thursday trivia

An easy one for you.

A name given to a type of wood that was often used as a mahogany sustitute in early New York furniture. The name that I am looking for is one word with 7 letters. The more common name for the tree is two words that, coincidentally also add up to 7 letters. ;-)

Re: If you insist

We will put it up as a benefit auction as soon as it arrives. The last time I checked, it was due for delivery at 4:42 PM on July 18th, 2025.

(they are a bit behind.;-))
