Three hoboes are sitting around a fire, and are about to eat. One of them has five rolls, the second has three rolls. The third has no food, but has eight quarters. He offers to pay for some rolls. They agree to share the eight rolls equally among themselves, and the third traveler will pay eight quarters for his share of the eight rolls. All rolls were the same size. The second traveler (who had three rolls) suggests that he be paid $.75, and that the first traveler be paid $1.25. The first hoboe says that he should get more than that. Is he right? How should the money be divided up?
Much easier for me that those danged ladders from last week! Now the challenge is to find a clever way to obfuscate the answer. Oh, wait. I think I see where I can hide it!
I think the long ladder was an old wooden one that had a bow in it so they really crossed at a different height from the ground so I did not guess on that one.
Gee, you and Alex are too fast (Alex did obfuscate though ). I had hoped that it would last at least until morning ;-) Maybe I need to send you two to a place to meditate for awhile ;-) How about here?
