Begin with a B?

another hint.

It grows on an island and has many neighbors that are just as strange. I used one of these neighbors as a trivia question some time ago. (someone did get it) Many of the plants there do not grow anywhere else on Earth.

Dan said the tree does not start with the letter " B". Maybe you are thinking of a different tree than I am(?).

Re: Paul Harvey and "the rest of the story"

I was looking at something else and there happened to be a link to that island and its weird plants. Just thought that it might be interesting to others, so made it a trivia extra. I figured that it would be a bit difficult to find. Kudos to you for figuring it out.
