Most battery power tools lose 3%/day of their power setting on the shelf. So wondering minds want to know, at least mine did, : ' >. How long (days) to discharge the setting battery to say 20% from 100%?

Dale, I'm curious as well. Does it matter what type of battery it is (NiCad, Lithium, etc)? Temperature? Sitting alone on the shelf or in a tool? Original voltage when fully charged 3.6v, 12v, 18v?

BUT, Lets Assume the "battery looses 3% per day of it's charge.

Hint: it's not linear. Had a Calculus(sp?)II educated college student tell me to divide by 3. Ahhh! Education is Great, but you got to know what to do with it! : ' '>.
