Monday, Lost in the ether.
I botched the question. I wrote it at 6AM so I could get it out and then didn't place it on the site.
Question: I found a label with 8bar on it (not 8 bar -- but I don't see the difference). What does that mean and what other job might find it important?
I'm sure that there are lots of other jobs who might find the information important so go crazy.

I think that I will just listen for the answers to this one and maybe go bass fishing or something.

A bar is indicative of a constant

I will guess air pressure in that case. 8bar without the space is a type of music with a bass line (hence the fishing) that changes every 8 bars.

Air Pressure gets Dan the gold star. Music also fits.
With research it turns out 8bar may be a misprint on the label. 8 bar seems to be the norm in other literature. (I did say that I didn�t see the difference)
1 bar = 14.503774 psi
8 bar = 8 x 14.503774 psi = 116.030192 psi.

One other of many uses using 8bar:
Scuba, air line free divers. A little extra.
1 bar is the average pressure exerted by the atmosphere at sea level. That pressure increases as a diver descends in sea water at the rate of, approximately, 1 bar for each 30 feet. 8 bar would be the pressure experienced by a diver at a depth of, approximately, 210 feet. Beyond that depth (oil and contaminant filtered) compressor would not have enough pressure to supply air to a surface supplied diver
Narcosis and nitrogen absorption excluded, that would be OK for a SCUBA diver carting compressed air down with him/her, but imagine the impact of that pressure on the lungs and heart, and brain of a free diver. There are lots of categories for free diving but successful �no limits� men are at 702 feet and women at 525 feet.
