In the 1990s, artist David Morice did something with wooden objects. What did he do and what were the objects?

I now realize that what I said before sounded a little harsh. If I was on a football team and I was a defensive back only brought in on obvious passing downs I might take one.

Or if I had an atomic number of 28 I might take one. (Where do you get atomic numbers anyway? Is there one of those number dispensers and someone calls out "Now serving atomic number 28"?)

The answer I was looking for is wooden nickels as several figured out.

He sent out a bunch of them to various famous people and invited them to decorate them any way that they wanted and send them back.

I am a big guy with multiple personalities, but I've never been accused of being several people before.
