Thursday Trivia

Here is another picture one for you. This platform was used on castles in the old days (back when I was just a lad, and just before They invented dirt ;-)

It had openings in it that could be used for dropping molten lead, oil, or other types of objects on invaders. What is it called?

Hint, the name is one word with 13 letters. If you were to just see the word, you might think mechanical contraption rather than a platform ;-)

Bombs away medieval style.

Mom + Spanish 1st name or CA city or women's clothing line + a different striking left coast city abbreviation + ration Egyptian sun god = neck crusher.
