Yep!

Milled edges were made to show that gold and silver content coins were not shaved to accumulate precious metals to be turned in for weight somewhere else later. Nockels and Pennies did not have the good metals and were deemed not worth milling the edges. All coins however have a edge so that they can be stacked and not roll away owing to the stamped images on the coin.

Just a note about the replies by me;-)

Some of the replies showed up as coming from Ellis. I was replying from his computer at WC headquarters and did not realize that it would attach his name to them. They are really me in disguise ;-)
