What is the only food that astronauts can take on board the shuttle that is not dried/processed/preserved etc.?

Nah..

Agree that that definately would not need preservatives, but not what I am looking for. ;-)

When I went up the first time I took a PB&J sandwich. The other times I took candy, but I guess that's processed.

Answer

The answer is pecans (see, at least sort of a wood connection). They are high in nutritional value, and already dehydrated.
