Ok you Google Meisters...holster your keyboard fingers a while!

Franco-Piedmont was one of two names given to a group of furniture designed by this man. Name him.

Extra credit...what was the other name given to his furniture?

Extra Credit #2....name the collaborator who was the chief craftsman of that furniture.

Re: Humpday Triviola

I remember Franco American spaghetti products but they probably didn't make furniture. Don't think Chef Boyardi did either.

Hint!

Franco-Piedmont should help. This guy's house is in the Piedmont but he spent a lot of time in Paris...part of his job for a while.

Well..............

I have heard that the Blue Ridge Directoir declared independence from bland furniture and had his friend John hem in the detractors.

Dan gets the Golden Uni.

The answer is Thomas Jefferson. The other name attributed to his furniture (made at Monticello) is Blue Ridge Directoire. John Hemming, Jefferson's lead (enslaved) craftsman, oversaw the making of the furniture.

A bit more info here:

JSTOR is a

subscription site. I have not located a subscriber, library or school who subscribes which is disappointing because I can't tell you how many times I'm stopped dead but an article in JSTOR that I can't access. If anyone knows a source I'd like to know too.

I think we know where the source is...

but he can not remember how to get there. ;>)
