It's a Jag racer..
Not sure what model it is, but I think I remember something about Jag using plywoods as stiffeners in the chassis in the late 50's.

Frame rails made of QS English oak, Shared with chassis designers of the RR family engineering from this era.

it burns wood and runs on steam? It uses wood alcohol for fuel? It has a wooden chassis?

It is a Marcos GT. It's connection to woodworking is that it had a wooden chassis up until the 1960's. The problem with the chassis was that it was too labor intensive. A couple of people were obviously close, but no one got the name. Attaching a link with some history. thanks to everyone for playing.
