As a product of the SUNY system, I'll go with what I know.

The State University of New York Forestry program has several large preserves within the 6 million acre Adirondack Park.

According to Wikipedia, the largest contiguous college campus in the world is 28,000 acres. I'm guessing this is the one you were looking for.

Now I would have to think that since you were talking about the total area of various campuses, there would be the big state schools like UC and SUNY as Bill mentioned. But I can't find any solid numbers to back up this assumption.

In reality the largest college campus covers the complete surface of the planet and the student body is over 5.5 billion undergraduates.

It's called The College of Hard Knocks and no one ever has enough credits to graduate.

I figured that you were talking about SUNY as a whole, in which case I'm sure all of the combined campuses are bigger than 28,000 acres.

I don't claim to be right all of the time. Whenever someone points out flaws in my answer, I always learn something ;-)
