Thursday Trivia

Since today is my anniversary, I thought that I would post a question about an annual event ;-)

The Lough Erne Cot is a type of wooden boat. There is something that normally occurs on an annual basis with type of boat. What is it?

Please wait for at least a few hours before you answer if you have to use Google ;-)

Re: Thursday Trivia

I would be sunk if I answered that question now. So I will just wish you and your wife a Happy Anniversary. Keep an eye open for some native american canoes.

Googling got it. But are those sunken wooden boats green?

Beats me ;-) (answer)

DB and Sharon got it. It seems that they sink the boats in the winter months to protect them from the elements.

Funny how things that work

stretch across cultures. American indians did the same thing with their bark canoes. Incidentally, they regularly sunk their canoes while exploring or on hunting parties to avoid detection by others.
