Since there is a lot of avation buffs here, this question concerns airplanes.
In 1937 the first transpolar flight from Moscow, Russia landed at what airfield in the USA?
Extra points will be awarded if you know how this question is wood related (other than the aircraft, buildings etc. is made out of wood)?
Also what else is important about this airfield?

Hey, I think know this one
The city is north of Portland, OR. and has the same name as a city in BC.. I'm not sure of the wood connection, unless it had to do with Spruce and WW I. The airfield has another distinction, what is it?

Gary, you are right. It is Pearson Field in Vancouver WA, "the oldest operating airfield in the United States. There was a spruce mill there during WWI. There is a lot of history there if any one want to check it out click on the link.
