Makin' Sawdust Humpday...Trivia Time
Well, it's day 3 of my week off from the day job to catch up on projects for my upcoming gallery show. Decided to take a break from a cabinet I'm making to toss out a trivia question....
A guy named Ketterer had a workshop in a wooded village and was the first craftsman to make this regional iconic creation. What is it?

He also had a wife who baked great chocolate cakes and her sauerbraten was terrific. But she was at times cuckoo.

Sheeez, well you all guessed it. It's the cuckoo clock.
The first Black Forest Cuckoo Clock was designed and made by Franz Anton Ketterer in the small village of Schoenwald near Triberg, Germany, in the depths of the Black Forest. Ketterer managed to reproduce the cuckoo's call by the clever use of bellows producing two different sounds.
And Robert, thanks for asking. So far so good. I don't have any idea how many projects I'll have for the show but I'll keep cranking them out until the show starts. Hopefully there won't be a lot of empty space between them in the gallery!
