Carson National Forest, where Aldo Leopold once worked is very well known for another special thing in history. What might that be?

A small bear cub was found up a tree during a fire on Lincoln NF. Later the bear became Smokey the Bear.

Not to be a stickler for detail...

Well OK, maybe I am somtimes. I his name is Smokey Bear (thats been pounded into me by a lot of USFS friends, including a few who play the part of Smokey). For more on the bear http://www.smokeybear.com/faq.asp

Well...I've put on the bear suit a few times myself. That is one hot suit, may work in the North county. But, I'll try to remember Smokey Bear, Smokey Bear, Smokey Bear....Thanks for the correction...Dale
