You are making something woodworking related. You have a bag full of something and you heat the bag over an open fire. With a tourniquet you apply pressure to the bag and express the warm contents for use. What are you producing?

It's one of those....but which one? And what is it more specifically?

Don't Know!
I know that walnut casings will stain a bunch of things. I've heard that used in conjunction with rusted nails they can be brewed to make a decent 'antique' stain. I don't think it qualifies as a dye, but then I'm not sure what the difference really is between the two.
