"Fire Hydrants" are sometimes referred to as "Fire Plugs".

What is the origin of the term.

Re: Fireplug

I would prefer to go with the flow but eventually you have to stop so someone else has a chance.

Re: Friday Filler

If I looked hard enough, I am sure I could dig something up, but that would probably be boring, and plugging the holes in my knowlege might make it easier to find next time. I guess I will wait for now ;-)

Re: Fireplug

I'm sticking with my original thought. I'm all tapped out. I WOOD prefer to go with the flow, but as Dan pointed out, that can be boring. Still, people talk. When you stop you have to stop the leaks so that others can participate fully.

Re: Friday Filler

Heat, plus Oxygen plus Wood = Fire, Woodstave water main plus bored hole, = water to fight fire. Wood plug to plug hole in water main to fight fire = Fire Plug
