One for the weekend

In Roman architecture, what is the term for a passageway leading to a tier of seats in an amphitheater or stadium?

I started to answer this one, but then I got sick to my stomach and had to make a trip to the bathroom so as not to make a mess;-)

It took a while to figure out your answer

One of the links that I found mentioned the time it took to fill and empty the place. It was amazing, as in less than 10 minutes. In that case, the name is probably appropriate, although, as you say, kind of crude for today ;-))
