A little OT but it goes along with what was being talked about on the message board.
Name all of the states, in the USA not counting Alaska and Hawaii, that has not had a confirmed case of West Nile virus contracted inside its borders?

Only one state can claim that. Its state tree is Pinaceae Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas-Fir).

The CDC says that Oregon has had 3 cases (as of June 21,2005) of the West Nile virus.
The only state without a confirmed case of the West Nile virus is the state whose state tree is Tsuga Heterophylla (Western Hemlock) and the state motto is alki.

Animal cases and found insects WY,NE,IA,WI,MI,NY,NJ,TN,AL,FL,OK,IL
Over half the states have found evidence of West Nile. Why the interest?

Only one state of the lower 48 have not had a confirmed case in humans of the West Nile virus.
With a hint that broad...
It has to be my neighbor to the North. Ya kinda threw me there, my recollection was that Wa. has had a case it just wasn't aquired there.

They thought they had a case in Spokane but further testing was done by the CDC and said it was not West Nile virus.
