Thursday Trivia

Let's say that I have received a commission to make one of those calendars that have the little blocks that you can turn to make up the data. Two of the blocks are for the date, from 1 to 31. The two blocks are identical in size. What numbers do I paint on them so that I can make all of the dates from 1 (01) to 31?

Re: I must be up too early,

this seems too simple, and your trivia is never simple! Put a 1 and 2 on each block, and the rest, 0, & 3-9 can go on either block?

Yeah, it's to simple....LOL

But I'll show my ignorance anyway.

0 to 3 (since he wrote 01 as a hint. As for me, I'd leave the "0" space blank) on the left hand block and 0 to 9 on the right hand block.

Yep, to simple, must have missed something.

Not quite;-)

The only thing is, the last time I checked, blocks only had 6 sides ;-)

Re: Thursday Trivia

0-2 on both blocks

3,4,5 and 6,7,8 on the other. The 6 serves as both 6 and 9

Re: Nope, not it ;-)

Block #1 has numbers 0,1,2,7,8,9. Block #2 has numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6.

Still not it.;-)

Look at Gary's post. With your combo, you could not make 7, 8, or 9.
