All new topics can be posted in one place: [New Topics]. Once you've started your topic there, our moderators will review it and move it to the most appropriate category forum — Hand Tools, Power Tools, Finishing, or wherever it fits best.
Why we do it this way:
No more guessing. You don't have to study our forum structure or worry about picking the "wrong" category before you've even had your morning coffee.
Better organization. Moderators who know the categories inside and out make the placement call, so topics end up where members actually look for them.
Faster posting. Just write your topic and post it. No decision paralysis, no second-guessing.
What to expect:
Your topic may move to a different forum shortly after posting — that's normal, not a mistake.
You'll still be able to find it; just check your topic list or notifications, and the link in your original post (if any) will still work.
If a moderator has a question about where something belongs, they may reach out to you directly.
You can always post anywhere you like — this is only meant as a helping hand for anyone unsure where to start, especially newcomers. What you have to share is what counts, not which forum it lands in. I've never been a fan of forums that police "correct" placement so strictly. Making someone feel bad for posting in the "wrong" section helps no one.
