no, I have used primarily ChatGPT from the beginning.  In fact, I just looked for it and couldn't find it.

No. But I do like the 2025 countdown clock I discovered while looking for Woody.

I should have been more specific, as I meant our old-school text chat and not the new Ask Woody AI assistant. I didn't expect anyone to be interested in the traditional text chat, as the world seems to have moved on to video chats (e.g., Zoom) and the only ones using test chat are gamers to talk to other gamers while gaming.

Both are included in the footer on every page, which serves as the site’s official navigation. All site content is listed there, loosely organized into groups based on AI recommendations. The footer menu is accessible from any page via the double-caret button (fourth from the left) in the fixed top navigation bar.

@Dale, the countdown was a JavaScript experiment I added while testing an additional top-of-page line for temporary messages (for example, a “Merry Christmas” notice). I do not plan to make that link permanent, as it consumes too much vertical space on mobile devices, which account for the majority of our traffic. That said, it was interesting and may be useful in limited situations—just not on every page. For now, it has been relocated to the footer.

As a general design principle, I try to minimize all non-essential elements above the fold—using a newspaper analogy. On a forum page, the priority should be immediate access to the posts, without top-heavy distractions such as oversized logos, ads, or other elements unrelated to the content being read. The main exception is the platform’s homepage, which should still remain minimal, but also serve as a funnel or call-to-action to encourage further exploration.

Changed footer link from "Ask Woody" to "AI Assistant."

The distinction matters most for new visitors. Once users are comfortable, clever names can be fun. But for core navigation—especially in the footer, which acts as our master menu—I think function-first naming simply works better.  “AI Assistant” tells you immediately what the link does, whereas something like “Ask Woody” requires context new visitors may not have yet.
