I had started watching that video a couple times over the last few days. I'm interested in the content, but that dude is a bit annoying for some reason. Also, I kept falling asleep (happens often when I sit on the reclining, heated couch after dinner...).

@Jason Roehl in Lafayette, IN,
Re annoying, I agree. He has a huge following of young people who like his "Hey y'all, watch this sh*t" antics, but they often involve high voltage, and I worry about those who don't understand how dangerous this can be.
But ignoring that, I found it interesting how much light it produced when he ran it up to 30,000W [edited] and 100A. It looked like he could have lit up his entire county if it wasn't blocked by the woods surrounding his house.
What kind of chair do you have? I think I might need one of those.

I'm guessing, since the vid title says 30,000 watts, that he ran it up to 300 V and 100 A. 30,000 V is in the range where a pinhole in a glove is enough to get you electrocuted.

I think that's the one.

Thanks, I typed V instead of W. Edited it.

Kinda figured, especially after remembering your background
@John in NM,
According to the specs, the 480V batteries on my Volt are only capable of short-duration bursts of 120 kW, so I can't run my new 30 kW tungsten headlights continuously but only while tailgating and signaling there is a speed trap ahead.
