The very first time I heard of the "world wide web" was a classmate hauling around a pixelized and almost unrecognizable picture of pam anderson - 1993. He kept talking about the world wide web and of course at that time, the kids were miles ahead of the older computer lab / programming teachers, and it took weeks or more before they caught on that some students were printing naughty pictures.
the naughty pictures were so low resolution that one had to use their imagination, though - I was pretty unimpressed.
