Why do you think DeWalt doesn't make band saws, at least for sale in the U.S.?

#2They do make bandsaws just not the kind I think your referring too, Band Saws | DEWALT . To answer your question, I think it's because they are basically more of a contractor tool manufacturer than a fine woodworking style tool manufacturer.

#3As noted above Dewalt makes portable metal cutting band saws. They have a pretty limited throat opening.
