Quiet Vacuum

Shop vacs. I am still nursing my old Festo along but I'm seriously considering a Makita.
Definitely would not recommend a Festo.
I use my wife's miele house vac to clean up dust often. If I could get a dynabrade vacuum here I would. 
Another option is 3m. I'm told their air sanders are pretty good too.
Don't know anything about Stihl vacs.
My old festo is bulky, too heavy, and the auto switch is dead. Can't get a replacement.
God how I hate festo.

So true. Vac noise gets to you after a while.
I've never used fein but it's probably as good as anything else out there. May have to look in to that myself.
There is an Italian brand too. Can't remember the name now. Their sanders are noisy but very powerful. 
Vac land is a jungle. The bags are often an issue. Hoses that don't last. Pre filters that clog up to quick.

The perfect vac has yet to be brought to market Gary. The noisy ones drive me nuts after a while even with ear protection. 
Stainless makes sense. Reusable bag's save money but leak. Maybe I'm asking to much but there has to be a better way.
I've been checking all the options out but struggling to commit. I wish I had a good recommendation but I don't. 
If you don't have high vac the discs overheat and clog up faster. So I'm always cranked out on Max.
