Single to three phase.

Probably quite a few of you guys have a rotary phase converter or similar.
This one's 27 years old now. The main switch crumbled apart and blew a capacitor a year back. So I took it out and got a larger heavy duty one at Radio Supplies in Sydney.
Watch out for old switches. If they start to feel rough replace them before they kill a motor. Same with magnet starter switches.
If it's more than twenty years old the contacts can carbon up and if you loose a phase you burn a motor. Very expensive to rewind a motor.
Anyway, it's a good unit. It's served me well. Made in the UK. Transwave is the brand name. Lucky I had a spare Cap. Transwave don't supply spares for their old machines anymore. That sucks.
A multi meter can diagnose potential problems before they get to bad.

The Max output for one motor is 10hp. It will run three machines at once no problem.
My thicknesser is 10hp and 1hp feed motor.
Drives it no probs. It happily works with my two VFD units too.
