Never got to Canada, love intervened.

That was the plan. Try and score a job with a Canadian pipe organ firm. Work my way around. But then the VW camper blew up on the road out and I had to earn enough to rebuild that crappy engine. That's when I met my wife. She was doing a spot of modelling for a photo shoot. I twisted my friends arm until he gave me her phone number.
This was one babe I wasn't going to let off the hook without playing the line out and biding my time.
I got a strike and reeled her in. Back in the game Boyz. Hearty pats on the back from the crew. A job well done, mission accomplished. That's what makes life worth living. You wake up with the dogs until your fit enough to make coffee for a Fox.

I had been all the way around the world, lived in Taiwan and Brazil (my father's job took us), but had never been to Canada nor Mexico until this summer.  My bride of 29 years and I took two days to ride the motorcycle in my profile pic mostly along Lake Erie to Niagara Falls, spent four days there, then two days to ride back around our anniversary.  Ontario is beautiful, and the people were very friendly when we ventured north from Niagara Falls one day to visit some wineries, breweries, and distilleries.

Excellent. I had a Honda Transalp in America. We were going to do a big trip around British Columbia until I hit a deer and broke my leg. I have a wr250r now. I explore all the forestry and back road's. Eventually want to do Queensland and the Northern Territory on it. My wife and I did a big round trip over white pass in to eastern WA then Montana. Glacier national Park is epic riding.
I bought a postie bike for my daughter but then she discovered boys and the planned tour of New South Wales never happened.
I love bike's. Love the freedom man.
Keep your motor running.
I scout for timber on my bike too.

I ride year-round.  I put grip heaters on a couple years ago this fall, and those have made a huge difference.  For comparison, in the last year, I have driven my truck a grand total of 1000 miles--a lot of that was because I had the bike in the shop a couple different times for new tires, a recall, then I took a couple weeks to get around to replacing the clutch cable that broke on a local group ride (30 miles from home...).  In that same year, I think I've put about 7000 miles on the bike, and about 18,500 since I got it in May '21.  I even quit taking the direct route home from work so that I could get out of the traffic and onto some country roads for a bit of wind therapy.

Shiny side up, brother!

Cool. My friend just bought a Ural with side car. We are planning some trips this year.
I prefer the back roads too. Less cop's, less traffic, less hassle.
I need to fix the hydraulic steering on my tractor. Seals are shot. There's always bloody something needs fixing.
