This channel is making a series of videos on the topic of whether is is cheaper to build things or just buy them already made:

He appears to be selling plans, so it may be biased. Do you find the videos helpful, or is it just marketing plans for sale?

It is usually cheaper to buy than to build when you are dealing with apples to oranges where it comes to quality.  IKEA stuff will fill your house or apartment for lower $$$ but will only have a shortened life span.  Quality crafted hardwood furniture will last decades and sometimes even a lifetime.

Very true but the modern generation does not see the lasting decades as an advantage. They want the current flavor of style not what was popular 10 years ago.
