Almost Done

Edited #1

This piece started out as a king-size headboard (84x28).   Made from book-matched endgrain slices of walnut with the voids filled with clear epoxy.

I'll be resetting a black background to rest in front of the support struts with the object piece proud of the background by about an inch to allow some depth for the clear-cast rot-holes.  Can still be used as a headboard, but one suggestion is to sell it to some corporation @ 20k for their "board" room. :D :D

Comments welcome as always.

Board room, wall art, or Headboard - I like.  Nicely done Mark.

Interesting.

Reminds me of the of  Dr. T.J. Ecklenburg Eyes sign in the Great Gatsby.

Try to get an invite to the right cocktail party, talk it up  and you might meet a modern art patron  willing to pay $20 million....

Thanks, Guys.
Unfortunately, Mark, haven't seen any of those kind of parties in my area, but (your mouth to god's ears) I keep looking for one that's not BYOB
