Military Sword and Scabbard Cases

Here is a pair of Military Sword/Saber Cases. (NOTE: My photography skills or lack there-of were at the mercy of the glass in the cases-which caused a fair amount of shop back ground reflections.  I had not the time nor inclination to develop a back drop that would reduce or eliminate the reflections- so most of the pictures show the swords resting on top of the cases rather placed inside as they will be for normal protocol)

The cases are for two brothers-One a Captain from US Marines (Ret.) and the second-an active duty Captain US Army.

Very nice work.

Just so you know the Army officers carry sabers as apposed to the Navy and Marine officers that carry swords.  The Marine sword is called a Mameluke.  The Mameluke  is the oldest weapon in continuous use in the United States military.

Thanks for the nomenclature clarification!  I edited the post (I think) to present a more accurate narrative.
