All of my icons have changed to all white rectangles. Does anyone know how to get them back to the way they were?

Which icons? On the website? The ones in the top navigation bar? Icons in the forums?

Somehow I got AVG Secure Browser. It kept on preventing me from many websites. So, this morning I deleted it and the icon problem disappeared. All of my icons are back. All of my programs appear to be working. Only one problem left. Somehow Microsoft Excel has disappeared.

#4Thanks for posting the update about AVG. It isn't what I would have expected since this can happen for more exotic reasons within the OS. You should be able to re-create a shortcut for Excel.
I personally stay away from 3rd party AV and related solutions but I gather you didn't install this on purpose.
