Well I have been hand drawing what I think my wife wants for at least a ream of paper. I figure I would try and find a simple cabinet layout design program for my Mac and iPad. I am not going into a business just want to make it easier for her to visualize what they might look like.
Is there any out there that has the basic sizes and I just have to say I want doors or drawers here?
I tried Sketchup awhile ago, and let's say I can draw it on paper in three different views pretty quick. When comes to using a 3d modeling SW I can't see it.
So any plug and place programs out there? I have a Mac Book Pro and an iPad Pro, no Windows computers around.

Autodesk Tinkercad is often cited as a simple web-based CAD.

#3@Admin. I use Tinker Cad to make small stuff to print 3D from my Endor 3 (plastic). I used to have a program I bought years ago that had all the standard sizes for cabinets in it. I would say I have a 12 foot wall 8 foot high and it would places cabinet to optimize the space. I could then just select a cabinet and say drawer base, tall cabinet etc.
Thanks

@Mike L,
That sounds like it was a very handy program to optimize cabinets based on available space. I have no experience with CAD, so I can't offer any advice on what is available or how to use it.
Do any of the other woodworking site have forums dedicated to this sort of thing? We have Turning and Hand Tools--maybe a dedicated CAD forum would be helpful ... if we could convince people it was the go-to place to discussing that kind of stuff.

#5I haven't used Sketchup in a while, but the version I had allowed 2D drawing. It was not supported when I upgraded to a new Mac so I don't know if the current version has this option.

I will look into Sketchup again. I like the idea I can use it on my iPad with the Apple Pencil to draw.
I love the way Apple products all work together seamlessly, but sometimes trying to find programs for them are a pain.
Thanks
