I am restoring an old Oak Ice Box. All the hardware on this one is nickel-plated. There are plating companies around but they seem to do large Industrial work. Does anyone know a company that would plate my little project?

#3The Instructables link is very interesting. Many years ago at work in a lab I had to copper plate an object about 1.5 ft. square. A larger area is a lot more challenging than coin sized pieces, especially without large vats, but it looks like it might be worth a try depending on your items. Cleanliness is absolute!
Are there any automobile restoration shops in your area you could contact? They may have the ability or know of companies that do small object nickel plating. Nickel is often laid down first before the chrome is (but maybe things have changed with time).
