Help ID old drill

#1

Good morning, new guy here.  I collect stuff, mostly original cordless drills, and I need a little help identifying a recent acquisition.

This eggbeater drill is very similar to a Craftsman in the 1948 catalog, but with significant differences.  I have examined it carefully but cannot find any makers mark or patent date.  I suspect it was a private label tool, maybe for an Ace Hardware type retailer.  Looks like an art deco era tool, it has similarities to the Millers Falls 104 & 308.   The obvious differences between my drill and the Craftsman are the crank handle, and the end cap of mine is wood not plastic.

I would appreciate any comments about the drill.

I would agree that Millers Falls  was probably the manufacturer.  At that point they were making tools for several retailers in an attempt to stay afloat.

Here are a couple of old hand drills that I use.  Neither has a brand name anywhere.  I inherited them from my father, so I'm guessing they were made in the 1920s or 1930s.
