A milestone

Yesterday, WoodCentral turned 25! Yep, a quarter century of shared woodworking experience and know-how, all wrapped up in thousands of pages of articles and over a million messages on every topic under the woodworking sun. Through it all, we've managed to keep our supportive atmosphere and shared commitment to the craft and each other. Thanks largely to the programming prowess and visionary outlook of our web guru Peter Martin over the past year, we're transitioning into a woodworking site for the realities of 2023 and beyond.
Thanks to all of you who have stuck with us over this long journey. Let's keep the spirit alive as WoodCentral heads into its second quarter century.

All the best to you, our esteemed members and visitors,

Ellis Walentine, Host

That’s quite the milestone in the online world!  My only regret is that I missed the first 5 or so years.  I sure do appreciate all the work that has and is going into providing a meeting place on the interwebs.

Here’s to the next 25!

I wish WC a Very Happy Birthday!  I stumbled upon this forum about six months after it debuted.  There is no way to measure the great value I have gained through the years from this site.  I haven't been as active here in the last couple of years as I am now "retired" from my day job and now doing what I've wanted to do for many years!....So Ellis I know the last bit has been challenging but I sincerely thank you personally for everything.
Onwards and upwards Boss!

Congrats. I found the WC by way of Wayne Miller from Badger Pond about day 2 or 3. Been here ever since except I mostly lurk these days.

Coming from the other side: I just joined here a few months ago. For a few years before, I'd peek in every so often before while looking for some woodworking info. Seeing the change in format encouraged me to sign up. Thanks to all who keep the lights on, and congrats!

Amazing! Congratulations Ellis! I remember hearing about your new idea around the fire at Dar & Shirley's!  Here's to another 25 years!
