I checked the archives but, didn't find the answer I was looking for.
What is the best finish for a desk's drawers? I am thinking shellac alone. I have used some oil poly (I think as it was a long time ago) on a saw till's three drawers. This was years ago yet, when I open the drawers, they smell as if the finish was applied yesterday.
Shellac, or waterborne finishes like Target Coatings EM6000 or EM8000cv are what I've used. All dry/cure odor-free.

I have used Shellac for years on drawers and the inside of blanket chests. Once dry, no odor and provides a nice protective finish. My 2 cents.

I also prefer shellac. Or just wax. Or shellac then wax.
