Gonna have to start scrounging for some more Red Maple as I've only got 4 more sections in the stash.

In the not too distant future, I'm going to have to have a "big" one taken down that sits a few feet off the corner of my house.  The base is in bad shape (probably a string trimmer 42 years ago before we moved in), and I've been babying it along, but it's bad enough now that I may have to take action.  TBD.  A lot of wood will go to waste, but I can't use much -- I'll keep the odd crotch piece.  This HF came from a branch crotch I had removed from over the house some years back.  I showed it here back in August, but I think it's worth a repeat in this context.

I'd hook up the trailer, sharpen a set of chains, and come get a load!
