Sort of turning
Built a machine for turning spirals with a router a few years ago. It will cut leads from 2 to 15 inches per rev. I turn the spirals, split them in half and make picture frames.

Re: Sort of turning
Sort of nice too. Interesting idea Ray. Do you glue the halves together before turning and split afterwards?

I do it both ways. Sometimes glue with paper between the halves or just cut the pattern and split in the bandsaw.
