To all that sell and use the Square credit card swipe. I had something happen to me this weekend that had not happened before. I was trying to swipe a credit card and the card did not fit in the Square. After trying a couple of times I looked inside of the Square. To my surprise there was a dime inside. I used my pocket knife and VERY LIGHTLY worked the dome out.

From now on I will keep in my other pocket.

All went well the rest of the day

..switched to the card chip reading Square attachment? I'm not seeing any reason to change my current scan reader and wonder how the switch has worked out for other users?

It always was a problem getting the plug to seat in the phone jack because of my Otterbox phone case. And I wanted the lower liability of using a chip reader. So I've been using mine since it first was available. In general it is quick and easy to use. Had a problem a week ago when the green indicator lights were showing a 50% charge (2 lights of 4) but the phone would not find it, even when they were head to head. Fortunately the customer was understanding and came back this week. With a full charge again it worked perfectly.

Used the first generation chip reader and went through three of them before giving up. Now use the second generation chip reader with no problem. Works very well. I have not had anyone use the tap feature yet.
