I rarely miss a club meeting. Usually it's because I'm demoing out of state. Last night I was simply too exhausted. I was putting the finishing touches on my shop so my electrician can do his thing. There wasn't any thing to screw the bottom of the panels to, so I decided to simply screw some moulding to the concrete. I drilled 65 holes. Here's the problem. I can't kneel anymore for more than just a minute. Hurts my knees. So I would kneel down, drill a hole, place the screw then move over and do it again. then I simply had to stand up. I would move the drills and screws to the next position and do it again. Do you know what a Burpee is. We did a lot of those in basic training 50 years ago. Well basically that's what I was doing and probably did maybe 30. Guess I"m too old to do that anymore.

I am with you John. I have decided to put in for the NBA draft. Given how far it is to the ground these days I must be ten feet tall!! You could have gone a long time without reminding me of burpees in basic training and it would have been fine with me. :D Rest up - this too will pass.

NBA draft!! I worked in the yard all day yesterday. It was hard to get out of bed this morning.

I have been putting off getting the paper until I have to go to the store. Then I have a excuse to drive the truck up the driveway.

Old age is starting to suck to suck.

Yep, you gotta be tough to get old. Since Sunday I’ve moved three (out of six) yards of mulch, cut the grass and weeded three flower beds. I need a day off.

For stuff like that I sit on a small stool and move it along. Lee Valley sell a small wheeled seat for gardening that rolls along. I was taking the snowblower off my new Kubota lawn tractor the other day and the toughest part was getting back up after removing bolts etc.

It wasn't until after I blew up a knee from falling off a deck, that I started using 'prayer bone pads'. Soft rubber/neoprene not the hard plastic ones..... I should have done that years before.... Getting down is easy, getting back up is the hard part....
