I miss my shop

I've had to resort to the old way of doing things using my Stanley shop mate and a circular saw and hand plane to get the job done. I did a lot of work in the old days with not much more than that. Of course I don't have any way to mimic using a lathe right now. I do have a couple of cordless drills that I might modify but I did hear from the guys who are building my shop and they have been making the parts and hope to come here for assembly next week.

I wondered how long you could go without a shop before going bonkers! If it would help we could send some hired muscle to "encourage" the builders.
But maybe this is an good opportunity to do some landscaping around the new house without the distractions of the silly woodturning stuff! Or make a tour and visit friends: "Hi, I'm staying with you for a few days. Just tell me where to sleep, what time is supper, and where you keep the keys to your shop."

So far I've had plenty to do. See my thread in the message board about storm doors. Then the bathroom sink is just a pedestal sink. I'm going to install a cabinet sink in it's place but the plumbing will have to be changed to accomodate that. Another problem to solve. they are building the parts for my shop right now and may be here tuesday to start putting it up. In the meantime when I went to look at the bathroom cabinet sink we found for sale the guy has a shop heater/airconditioner brand new in the box that he is now selling me. Going to pick those up Monday. that solves the heating problem for the shop.
