Shop packed up

Man is it hard doing without a shop. I don't realize how often I go out there to just piddle, and sure do miss turning something. Closing on the new house March 8th and will start moving things. Will have a tree removed that next week and then call the metal building guys and tell them to start on the new shop. I'm guessing it will be ready by the end of march but then I'll have to get the electrical installed and finish off the inside so it may be the end of April before I have a functioning shop again. OOOOH the agony of it all.

Just a thought...if you run out of things to do this week and just need a turning fix, mosy up to Arrowmont and check in with the Columbia turners. We'll be making shavings and laughter and you would be welcome.

Well no wonder it has been quiet on this page! Get busy, do something, somewhere so you can tell us all about it!! P.

A couple of months without a shop would be hard for me. I am sure it will be for you as well. Good luck. If you need some help, give me a call. Jake

I thought after you moved into your latest place, that was going to be the last move ever...... For me, my new place will be home till my birth certificate expires. One of my dad's mottos, "I am not going to retire until my birth certificate expires." He still goes into work at age 96. An engineer...... He will never die from boredom.

How about a visit with the other John Jordan. He might need help with hoof trimming and such (lol).

I told my wife if we ever had to move I was going to pore gas on everything, toss a match on it and start new.

We have been here 29 years.

Make sure you move your wood stash away from the house before throwing the match. :-)

I would make sure my motorcycle and new pickup would be no where the shop.

Care package?

John K Jordan

Oh the pain of moving, even without withdrawal symptoms.

I'm driving to Monterey tomorrow morning. You want maybe I bring you a mini lathe you can set in the middle of the living room for a bit? And a Hunter tool? And some wood?
