I have been using the Triton Dust Respirator. It quit working and I can’t get replacement parts in the US. I was looking for an alternate air source. I was wondering if a CPAP machine would work to blow the air. Has any one ever tried a CPAP machine as part of a dust collection system?

You can substitute any decent filtered air source for the belt filter.
Malcolm Zander used a bathroom blower to provide air to his Triton.

The cpap might be ok if the overall airflow would be enough for the helmet instead of a mask.

There was an article in th AAW magazine ( it sure of the issue number) where someone used a cpap.

It was Ken Rizza who wrote an article about it for AAW. I don't remember what issue.
I've collected the parts & pieces for one (eBay & Amazon), but haven't had time to put it all together. Cranked all the way up though, there is more than enough airflow that it will provide a nice cooling breeze for summer months. I ordered a ballistic rated paintball mask to use as a face shield, which is much sturdier & stronger than most regular face shields.
