Am I a tool nut

A friend was in the shop a few days ago and asked to use a hammer. he commented on how many i had hanging on the wall. He didn't see all the others. I counted this morning. I have 26 hammers. I have 12 hand saws, I have over 200 clamps, I have over a 100 turning tools. I have 5 grinders and 3 strip sanders. Help I can't stop. I have 2 drill presses and was thinking of buying a smaller bandsaw. Maybe it's a good thing that I'm possibly moving into a smaller workshop.

Regarding clamps: An old woodworker adage says you can never have enough clamps.
Question: What is the definition of a professional woodworker?
Answer: Someone who almost has enough clamps.

I'm beginning to wonder if I might be a tool addict in desperate need of a 12 step program. Let's see,
Step 1, buy some tools
Step 2, buy some tools
Step 3, ....
Hmm, not working. Oh well. Maybe I'll try working on my wood addiction instead.

We all are! It just boils down to different degrees, how thick our wallets are, or how much we owe!
For example there are valid reasons for several, at least, hammers, they are different and work better for a particular job.
That's my excuse anyway, not that I need one!

More tools leads to more wood which leads to a bigger shop which leads to bigger tools which leads to bigger logs which leads to bigger projects which leads to a bigger truck which leads to a bigger trailer which leads to bigger chain saws which leads to a bigger saw mill which leads to a larger property which ends in a large estate sale which continues the cycle with everyone that attends the sale.

I would have ended up in a divorce somewhere in the middle of that continuum (not that it doesn't have a certain appeal)...
And I probably don't have far to go, so I'm TRYING to clean up my act, keep my nose clean, stay on the straight and narrow (ran out of idioms) and keep the GOOD wife.
